What are endogenic systems?

First of all: What are systems?Systems are a group of people that all share the same body and mind. Although it is important to note that not all systems experience it like this, just that it is the easiest and simplest ways to explain it.There are many ways to describe these people and I will go in depth on the Terms section of this website.——————Okay, now onto the actual question: What are endogenic systems?Endogenic systems are systems that aren't directly formed via trauma. Despite this, these systems may still have trauma.There are many origins for these systems so I’ll cover more on origins in the Terms section of the webstieClick here for more information

Quoigenic systems are systems that
1) Don't know and don’t care what their origin is
2) Don’t wish to disclose their origin

Protogenic systems are systems that were born plural or have been plural for as long as they can remember^{Click here to see more information}——————Neurogenic
Neurogenic systems are systems that are formed by pre-existing mental illnesses or neurodivergencies.^{Click here to see more information}——————

Soulbond systems are systems with a lot of soulbonds. Soulbonds are souls from another universe that have latched onto the system or host. Typically these systems have a lot of fictives however the soulbonds can come from any universe not just fictional ones.^{Click here to see more information}

Common Arguments Against Endo Systems

Systems cant exist without trauma!The most commonly used diagnostic criteria (DSM) says nothing about systems being exclusive to trauma. It does mention that trauma increases the odds however this still means that systems without trauma can exist.Not to mention that many endogenic systems do have trauma just that it isnt the primary cause for their plurality.——————There is no proof that endos can existThere are several studies that prove that endogenic systems do exist and some even estimate up to 2% of the population being naturally plural. These studies will be linked in the Information section of this carrd.——————Endogenic systems arent real and are just appropriating a mental illness for attentionJust because somebody doesn’t fit the exact definition for something doesn’t mean they are faking. As mentioned before there are a lot of studies that prove these systems can exist.——————One alter takes weeks to form this means large systems, especially endogenic ones, are impossible and therefore fake.The term ‘Polyfragmented’ had existed since 1982. It was coined to describe systems with over 100 members and a lot of fragments. Before this in 1979 the term ‘Complex multiplicity’ described a similar thing.As for the duration of time, it can vary. Things like situation, reason for splitting, the system origins and more can influence how long it takes for a new alter to form. There is no one way to be plural.
